Is it Paradise or Better Than Sex......Well it's a hard one to call. Let's be honest we all know that the beauty industry are always making dupes of one another products or are all under the same umbrella just different names for each one. However, it's obvious that companies totally make dupes of each others products. Well this dupe I myself kinda knew was going to happen as I worked on Fifth Ave at Sephora right near L'Oreal corporate. They used to come in all the time to buy products themselves and of course see what was trending and what was hot. Well I knew Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara was totally eventually going to be duped. Sure the name sells it alone, but the wand design was great along with the packaging. Of course the quality of ingredients was a big aspect too.
Bravo to L'Oreal for being smart. Who really wants to spend $23 on mascara these days. The average Beauty B isn't doing that too often. Sure it's great to splurge every once in a while and of course we all love designer things, but really you are going to throw away that mascara in three months. You better at least! Here's the deal.....the wands are the same hour glass shape and pick up about the same amount of product to deposit on the lashes. Now ingredients wise...... the Better Than Sex mascara has more synthetic beeswax in it making it more Vegan friendly people tend to think while Lash Paradise has a lower concentration of it. Packaging the Better Than Sex has weight to it while the Lash Paradise is lighter. Definitely feel you are paying for a name and packaging for Better Than Sex than Lash Paradise. Lastly I will say that Lash Paradise has different shades of black including a black-brown while Better Than Sex just comes in black. Be careful as I find the Better Than Sex sometimes clumps while I haven't encountered the problem yet with Lash Paradise.
Really guys it's a draw! Lash Paradise wins for price point, Better Than Sex wins for packaging, and they both win for wand design and actual product.
