What's an Essence?
Hey there Beauty B's!
Skin care routines can be very confusing for the everyday person. Sometimes you walk into your favorite beauty store and you just get overwhelmed. You see cleaners,toners,moisturizers,serums,masks,exfoliators,and essences. Wait, back up a minute I know what you are thinking what's an essence. Well I am sure you have seen the few out there but has anyone taken the time to explain them to you. Well, never fear Beauty By Mike is here!
To be clear an essence is a skin care product that is going to be very lightweight and watery. The whole idea comes from Korea, and they know skin. They have very interesting and advanced skincare routines that we are only just learning about. An essence is applied after you cleanse your skin, and if you use a toner apply the toner, then follow up with your essence. Now here is the confusing part. After the essence comes the serum. Yes, you still need the serum. An essence is going to literally absorb in the skin right away because it's so light. You are getting and instant boost of hydration and brightness of your skin. You serum is going to be a thicker consistency. The two paired together are going to really help elevate your skin, especially those out there concerned with aging. I will say that from my research essences are good for all skin types which is great. - First let's celebrate because this one won't break the bank. I found this for only $10 at Target, and select Ulta Beauty Stores. Not bad for adding something to your routine that you are maybe a little shy about.
- The product literally absorbs right away into your skin. I was so impressed. Make sure you are pressing the product into the skin with your fingertips or with the Pillow Blend brushes by PUR Cosmetics they are amazing for skin care!
- Product is Paraben Free, Sulfate Free, and Phthalates Free.
