A Beauty Revolution!

Hey there Beauty B's!

We all know that the beauty industry is an always changing industry. Colors are discontinued, formulas change, limited editions, new trends and techniques, and most important technology advances change things constantly. Sometimes a change can be hard and at first sad, but sometimes a change can be scary but exciting. Recently this change has happened to me. I have been working in the beauty world for a while now and I have worked for many companies. I will say one company paved the way for my success and to them I owe everything to. They even helped build me and my confidence also. Currently I started working for a new company and was introduced to a set of brushes that instantly I thought right away for perfect for one thing, even though they are marketed for two. I want you all to think about this, we wash our hands before we stick our fingers into any of our skin care jars, I hope, but still could there be another method that would work just as well as the hands and fingers and have that texture the hands have to put the product gently into the skin. Guys, literally I found the holy grail and I can't wait to show more people this product and make them fall in love as much as I have. P.S. you can use this for you foundation, highlight, contour, and concealer too. Below I will break down and give you some tips and tricks to set you up for success.

Pur Cosmetics Pillow Blend Collection

1.) First off I want to start out with the price. Guys when you think brush set you think what? Expensive is normally the first thing that comes to mind for a lot of people. Let me say this...I have brushes from anywhere from $1-$85 dollars and that was just for one single brush. Now, don't get me started on brush sets. This set is a steal as you can use it for skin care, and your cosmetics all for the price of $39. You get 4 brushes for $39. (Ulta.com/ Ulta and https://www.purcosmetics.com/pillow-blend-collection-4-piece-silicone-applicator-tools I mean if you do the math literally that's around give or take $10 a brush.

2.) Some of you are very lazy about cleaning your brushes out there and when I hear a client tell me they don't clean their brushes I die. First let me say this, many people complain about their skin breaking out all the time and that they have tried everything. Did you try cleaning your brushes? Your brushes sure deposit color to your face, but they can also be picking up and depositing bacteria on and off your skin. Cleaning your brushes once a week if you use them a lot, one every two weeks if you use them minimally will help keep your skin in check. Now these brushes are great though because for those of you that don't have time to clean your brushes or are just lazy these are perfect for you. The tip is very soft and pillowy and is made of silicone. This means that one simple wipe with your makeup removing cloth and some alcohol your brush is cleaned and ready to go. No more complaining that you don't know how to clean your brush or that you do not have the time.

3.) The design of the brushes is done perfectly. Let me just say that the way the brush fits into my hand I just can not get over. The curved handle makes working with the brush easy and it really doesn't matter if you are right or left handed. The brush with work with anyone of your hands and fit perfectly. The other thing is that when using the brush just make sure to support the neck like a baby. Think about your brushes being your baby and you need to support their neck.

4.) Think about this, sponges often times can do what? Yes, sponges are made to absorb product even if it's just a little you are still losing some. Cosmetics are not cheap and every little drop counts no matter who you are. With the silicone there really isn't abosrbtion meaning what you take out you put on. You get more bang for your buck.

5.) If you look really closely you see on the brushes that the design is basically the same as the ridges on your finger. This really does give a smooth application and really pushes the product on to the skin giving you a smooth smooth canvass. I also really how the brush with the ridges feels on the face. It is kinda soothing and relaxing putting on my make up and feels like a gentle massage to my skin.

6.) When using the brush to apply product remember to support the neck of your baby. While supporting the neck of your back you want to use the brush to deposit the color in a brushing downward motion. I then go back and press gently like using a beauty blender to product into areas that are textured or my pores may be showing. The pressing softly and bouncing around in areas that need to be soften will also help blend your foundation. DO NOT APPLY A LOT OF PRESSURE AND KEEP SUPPORTING THE NECK OF YOUR BABY!

7.) The Brushes are CRUELTY FREE and LATEX FREE!

8.) I broke down what I suggest you use each brush for. Remember makeup has no rules to get the results you want these are just my suggestions that have worked successfully for me and I think they would for others ranging from beginner to the advanced Beauty B!

- The Large Pillow Brush I would use for my moisturizer, serum, primer, and of course my foundation. Liquids and creams. There is a pro tip I will share at the end for the bold and adventurous.

-The medium brush is great for doing your contour. It will hit perfectly under the jaw line and around the forehead. Also when you do your check line into your hair line the line is literally perfect. I am talking if you wanting to do underpainting (Kim K highlight contour method) you could with practice and with ease and less mess.

- The Smedium (small/medium) brush is great for highlighting. Now the brush is great for creams and liquid but as I mentioned earlier if you are feeling bold and adventurous I actually did a powder highlight with this brush . That's a challenge for all of you out there. If you do it post on instagram and #beautybymikechallenge and #purcosmetics

-The small brush is great for concealer and your eye creams. It's the perfect shape to push the product gently under the eye area. You may laugh but I even tried a single powder eye shadow with the brush. Now guys that a single eye shadow not an actual look. Short, sweet, and basic for the everyday Beauty B.

Check out the look below it was all done with the pillow cushion.

Gotta Go Beauty B's.....dinner and school work await.
