Lavender Not So Blue...Dilly Dilly!

So recently I wanted to find a new soap for my shower. I totally wasn't planning on finding anything at my local grocery store that I would want to try and actually would be impressed with it's ingredients but I found it. Simple Truth Pure Castile Soap in Lavender. Now I know you guys are all probably laughing because I am on this Lavender kick lately but it has changed my life that much. Now This isn't a soap I place on using every day but it is something I will be using when I want to just relax and unwind a bit before going to bed. Seriously it was the perfect balance of smelling good yet not being overpowering as that's an issue I tend to get complaints about in my living situation. Here is the scoop on this soap and why I recommend it to you.....especially those of you that live hectic, stressful lives. (My friends in the Big Apple you need this!):

Simple Truth Pure Castile Soap:

1.) No Parabens, Phthalates, Sulfates, or Palm Oil. Now I had to do some research about palm oil and it's more of an issue about rainforest's being cut down illegally to have land to have plantations for palm oil. Also it has destroyed habitats. So If you are trying to be more green research how companies get their palm oil, or try to buy less products with it. Totally you're choice because some companies get it through honest plantations.

2.) Hypoallergenic which seems to be a big deal these days as I have noticed a trend of more people with psoriasis and eczema than I ever knew existed. Myself included.

3.) The products is Vegan and NO ANIMAL TESTING.  Also Gluten free!

4.) On the side of the box it states that this product will gently clean: Body,Face,Hair, and PETS.....(However I feel they should take pets of the box as they have not tested on animals and do not know for sure it's safe......unless they aren't telling the truth.)

5.) Make sure to let the bar air dry after each use. Maybe a nice soap dish would be good to invest in with a cover so after in dries you can store it if you aren't going to use it everyday!

6.) The price.....I got the soap at Kroger (a grocery store in Richmond) for less than $5 I think it was even cheaper than that!

7.) Here are the Ingredients and I will highlight a few of them for you: Organic Coconut (Cocos Nucifera) Oil, Organic Sunflower (Helianthus Annuus) Oil, Sodium Hydroxide*, Organic Extra Virgin Olive (Olea Europaea) Oil, Organic Hemp (Cannabis Sativa) Oil, Organic Jojoba (Simmondsia Chinensis) Seed Oil, Lavender (Lavandin Grosso) Essential Oil, Pacific Sea Salt (Sodium Chloride), Non GMO Mixed Tocopherols (Vitamin E from Sunflower Oil) (Side note On the package the Sodium Hydroxide is not in the final product!)

-Organic Sunflower- Great for acne. Has moisturizing properties and anti-oxidant properties. It can help reduce the early signs of aging. Can actually also help make your skin less sensitive to free-radicals. 

-Sea Salt- Actually can help balance the production of oil. Helps battle yuck bacteria in the skin that can cause break outs. Big bonus is that it encourages the healing process of the skin.

-Lavender Essential Oil- Gentle for skin issues like psoriasis, acne, and skin inflammation. Helps speed up the healing process of cuts, burns, and sunburns. 

-Olive Oil- Wonderful for providing hydration for the skin. Full of wonderful anti-aging antioxidants. Can help repair the skin from sun damage, cigarette smoke, and everyday pollutants. (Vitamins A&E)

-Organic Hemp- This is great for dry skin. It will not clog your pores so it's good for balancing the oils in skin. It can help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It can temporarily help soothe irritated skin.
