It's Okay To Blur The Lines
Hey Beauty B's!
You know I actually love these blurred lines! You guessed it I am talking lip liner today and how to get creative with it. So while working in the cosmetics field I have dealt with so many people asking over and over again I need a lip liner to exactly match this lip stick. The problem is often it's close but no cigar. Now many times I have offered a universal liner which seems to fall upon deaf ears. It seems people want to line their lips with the same shade so it looks super cohesive. Well, I kinda came up with a trick that sometimes works when it's something you really want and you want that fine precision with a liner. First I am going to say this, this is something I do and remember makeup is art, they aren't necessarily any rules, and there are many ways to get the look that you are going for. So here is my trick. I like to first line the lip with a liner and then fill it in with that same liner. Sure it's not going to be a lot of product in the liner but that's why you don't break the bank doing it. I actually went and bought 4 colors of the wet and wild gel liners. First off they glide like butter and work so well I was impressed. You don't have to pull at the lip and the tip is the perfect size to line the lip with ease. On top of that I love retractable liners and like that they are always sharp and you don't have to search for the sharpener all the time. Now the pigment I will say I was pleased with. In order to fill the lip I did have to press down a little more on the liner to deposit a heavier color on the lip that I wanted, but the color was still HOT! They have quite a few shades to choose from which was great. I found shades that I personally liked and even got one that I normally wouldn't rock. Lastly for about $4 each at Wal-mart I don't mind using up this product quickly because it's super cost effective to replace. Literally I am going back probably in a few weeks to buy more colors for my beauty arsenal. Check it out! Don't forget to follow me on instagram @the_beauty_guru_2u
