You Get What You Pay For.......(Target Spalife Charcoal Mask)
Hey all you Beauty B's!
I know it's that time of the year when we are busy buying gifts for friends and loved ones. So I guess that means we adjust our budgets accordingly to fit our needs. However, sometimes we can't go too cheap on our beauty routine products. Sure don't get me wrong, once in a while I see a great bargain item and decide to give it a try. However just remember you get what you paid for. Make sure you check out ingredients to see what's really in it. Hey, I am guilty of it too.....sometimes I am just grabbing something impulsively to try it out and don't full read whats in the product. Well guys check out my info below on the Charcoal Activated Face Mask I found at Target for $3.
Well guys this I will start out by saying this is a great stocking stuffer for the young ones. I am talking the ones that are just starting to have breakouts to about maybe 17 year olds. Honestly for us older Beauty B's, yes it's a fun sheet mask, and yes it's charcoal activated but honestly we need something a little better and higher quality. The mask itself caught my attention because of the packaging. It looked really cool and being a Beauty Industry person, black became my favorite color living in New York. Big bonus was that the sheet mask itself was black which was really cool. Now I am going to be honest the shape of the mask did not fit on my face well. It was a little funny especially around the nose and lip area. I felt like they were not shaped properly. It did say to leave the mask on for 15-20 minutes which I honesty suggest 20 mins as I did to really get that gunk out of your pores. Now we all now that this mask clearly has charcoal in it, but guess what it also has gold dust. Gold dust is going to help replenish the collagen in your skin. Also here were a few other ingredients that caught my eye:
1.) Glycerin- which we know creates a moisture barrier for the skin. Locking in the hydration to the skin. This is great because charcoal is drawing out the moisture of your skin, so they kinda perfectly counterbalance one another.
2.)Witch Hazel- great for helping reduce inflammation of the skin. Also its going to combat the oils and any redness in the skin it can help tone done...notice I said help not completely get rid of. Also its great for bacteria in scabs on the face, acne, and pores of course. Added little known bonus can help with time heal some of your scars.
3.) Castor Oil- The last one I wanted to highlight was Castor Oil. Great for helping hydrate you skin and of course heal. Just like the previous mentioned it's also a good for reducing the inflammation of the skin. Great for acne prone skin because it helps fight bacteria, battles the blemishes, and will reduce the inflammation skin. Lastly guys its going to give you life....while collagen is life to me. This ingredient will help delay signs of wrinkles if used consistently in your skin care routine because it will increase collagen and elastin production keeping you nice and young looking.
Alright Beauty B's you do get what you pay for but more right. My one complaint is that the mask left my face feeling really sticky after I took off the mask and rubbed the serum in as directed. Was sticky in the check area but felt amazing in the forehead and nose. Literally my nose needed to have the gunk sucked out of it this week. So really it's a hit or miss mask. I say great stocking stuffer, but not one I would stock up heavily for. Great Holiday Gift for the Beauty B on your list from starting out to the Beauty Guru like me.
Oh and guys it did actually get a little stuff out of my skin that I say on the mask when I examined closely. Not a lot but something.
Gotta go soak my BISCUITS (that means feet apparently I learned)
